- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup honey or corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Optional Add-Ins:
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- ¼ cup chopped nuts
- 1 scoop protein powder
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Dish – Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- Melt Peanut Butter Mixture – Heat peanut butter and honey in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and salt.
- Mix with Cereal – In a large bowl, combine the Rice Krispies cereal with the melted peanut butter mixture. Stir well to coat evenly.
- Press into Pan – Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down firmly but gently using a spatula or greased hands.
- Let It Set – Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, or place them in the fridge for a firmer texture.
- Cut & Serve – Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
- For softer treats: Don’t overheat the peanut butter mixture.
- For crunchier treats: Add chopped nuts or extra cereal.
- For a vegan version: Use maple syrup instead of honey.
- For extra protein: Mix in a scoop of protein powder with the peanut butter mixture.
