Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) fresh strawberries (hulled & sliced)
- 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- 1/4 cup orange juice (or strawberry syrup)
- 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
- 8 oz (225g) mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 24 ladyfinger cookies (Savoiardi)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder (for dusting, optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Strawberry Mixture
- In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with strawberry jam and orange juice. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to release juices.
Make the Cream Filling
- In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Add mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Layer the Tiramisu
- Dip each ladyfinger lightly into the strawberry mixture (avoid soaking).
- Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of sliced strawberries.
Repeat & Finish
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Smooth the top and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow flavors to meld.
Serve & Garnish
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder (optional) and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
Notes
- Use homemade strawberry syrup instead of orange juice for a stronger berry flavor.
- For a more decadent version, add white chocolate shavings between the layers.
- This dessert is best enjoyed chilled and can be made a day in advance.
- If mascarpone is unavailable, substitute with cream cheese + 2 tbsp heavy cream.
