- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Sausage Mixture
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, salt, black pepper, sage, thyme, fennel seeds, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Add maple syrup (if using) and mix until well combined.
Step 2: Shape the Patties
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into small patties, about ½-inch thick.
Step 3: Cook the Sausages
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the sausage patties in the pan, making sure they don’t touch.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C)).
- Transfer to a plate and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
